40 IDPs from Western Tigray have died of hunger and disease in the city of Adigrat. IDPs from West Tigray Zone who have been displaced from their homes for more than four years due to their identity have been suffering from lack of food and medicines.
Eastern Zone IDP Coordinator in West Tigray Zone, Berhane Kahsay, told Dimtsi weyane Television that 40 people, including 18 minors, have died due to hunger and disease.
The suffering of the displaced people continues to worsen every day and he called on the concerned authorities to return them to their homes as soon as possible.
