Doctor in Immunology from USP and current Post Doc @EvertsBart lab working with Immunology and Immunometabolism. #DendriticCells#Immunology ๐จ๐ปโ๐ป๐จ๐ปโ๐ฌ๐ฌ
I was inactive on X for a long time, and I forgot to share a huge milestone with you here. My Postdoc paper was accepted at @ScienceAdvances

Back in 2018, I moved to the Netherlands for the first time to do an internship in Bart Everts' lab.

What about IBD and other inflammatory gut diseases? I hope we can answer these questions later. For now, I am very happy that the paper is out.
Thank you to everyone who helped me get there. I hope you enjoy the reading :)
We replicated these findings in ex vivo DC-T Cell co-culture, also demonstrating the importance of TGFb and AMPK in this axis.
This raises questions for new projects, such as which intestinal factors drive AMPK activity in the gut? Is this a Type 2 immunity-specific axis?
Thrilled to share my paper! ๐https://t.co/uD6QnUU1OL It was an incredible experience working and exploring such a fascinating story. Huge thanks all co-authors, they r amazing ppl, and everyone in the Zon Lab @leonard_zon for all their support both in and out of the lab! ๐
@Jeff_Mold @Satpathology@katha_lahl@IsabelUlmert@JExpMed 3. When we stain igLNs (that barely contains any epithelial cell) the LCs are easy to see after removal of B and T cells. You can see here the level of MHC and CD11c expression in the migratory APC compartment in the igLN and the EpCAM expression in these cells.
@Jeff_Mold @Satpathology@katha_lahl@IsabelUlmert@JExpMed 2. But the expression of EpCAM on DCs, and especially on LCs, is quite established and well known in the literature. I have already sorted LCs (based on EpCAM and other markers) and were quite efficient in priming CD8+ T cells, although less efficient than cDC1.
@J_my_sci @GarciaLabMS @urban_ecologist I donโt know what is your area of research, but in biological field, pretty much all of them require separate files. Here is the guidelines for for @JCellBiol, for example.
Our new paper is out today @JCellBiol. This work was developed as the PhD of @Eline_Brom with the supervision of @EvertsBart. Very glad everything worked out and is now out! Thank you everyone who helped us put this out and congrats @Eline_Brom! You deserve it!
Brombacher, Patente, Everts et al @LUMC_Leiden find that AMPK promotes #DendriticCell tolerogenicity by increasing breakdown of glycerophospholipids, enhancing mitochondrial fissionโdependent fatty acid oxidation, & upregulating glucose catabolism https://t.co/GvSuPM9kSW
