Today I turn 40. Chris had planned a big party for me. He was so excited, telling me, “I can’t wait to celebrate you the way you deserve to be celebrated.” Today I woke up to a world without him. Then I found these & remembered he left me so much evidence of his love.

Tests yesterday confirmed that Chris will not wake up. In life, Chris offered his body to a clinical trial to help others. In death he will do the same. He remains on life support while organ donation is arranged. We are so proud of him.

Please if you ever cared about someone with ALS. Now is the time to help. The Adcom meeting to approve Nurown was a complete and utter disgrace. Patients who showed actual proof, that they got better with Nurown, were actually berated and chastised, They were told that they were giving false hope and shilling snake oil.
This is unacceptable!!!
These patients were smart, caring and extremely informed. Lawyers, Doctors, Nurses, and decorated former athletes. Please go watch the testimony.
Others, like the story below, who wanted to speak, were not chosen, the community was given only 1 hour, and even that only ended being about 45 minutes for them. 2,000 letters were written, with unbelievable testimony, 175 from Doctors, many the top in ALS, the letters were not even mentioned, except by one member, who was all but shushed, she was the loan yes vote.
For to long the ALS community has been silenced and pushed to the side, even by the largest organization who is paid to serve them.
This needs to change. When is the world, going to realize these fine people are missing?
