Sheetal Talav Beauty Buried Under Garbage? Serious Questions Raised on L Ward and SWM Department. @mybmcWardL
The condition of Sheetal Talav near LBS Road, Kurla, west has raised serious concerns among local residents. According to local sources, large quantities of garbage are being dumped around the lake by nearby buildings and residents, affecting the beauty and environment of the water body.
Residents have also alleged that some Solid Waste Management (SWM) vehicles are seen dumping waste in the vicinity. If these allegations are true, then a serious question arises: Is the SWM Department itself contributing to the deterioration of the lake's condition instead of protecting it?
Another major concern is that the beautification and development work of Sheetal Talav appears to be incomplete. Has the project funding already been sanctioned? If so, why is the work still pending? Has the contractor failed to complete the project despite receiving approvals and funds?
The L Ward administration must conduct an immediate site inspection and place all details regarding sanctioned funds, project status, contractor responsibilities, and pending work in the public domain. Citizens deserve transparency and accountability regarding the condition of this important public water body.
The failure to maintain and beautify Sheetal Talav has become a matter of public concern, and residents are demanding answers from the concerned authorities.

Allegations of Land Grabbing and Illegal Construction in MMRDA Colony, Goregaon West.
Serious allegations of land grabbing and illegal construction activities have surfaced from MMRDA Colony, Boris Compound, near Ram Mandir in Goregaon West. According to local residents, members of the Jilani Group allegedly pressured slum dwellers and demolished their structures. It is further alleged that the land was later fenced off by the Jilani Group in partnership with Shabbir and Fawaj Memon.
Residents claim that the MMRDA Encroachment Department had previously carried out demolition action in the area behind HDFC House at Memon Compound. However, concerns remain regarding the existence of several alleged illegal structures. Local sources claim that Jilani Compound No. 1 contains more than 15 unauthorized structures, while Jilani Compound No. 2 has over 20 such structures.
Additionally, residents have raised concerns regarding an allegedly illegal hall constructed on an open plot measuring approximately 30,000 sq. ft. Allegations have also been made that bogus documents were submitted before the court and the MMRDA Legal Department in connection with the structure.
Citizens have urged the MMRDA Commissioner to conduct a thorough investigation, take swift demolition action against all unauthorized constructions, and register FIRs against those found responsible for encroachment. A request has also been made to BJP leader to conduct a site inspection and help bring the matter to the attention of the authorities.@MMRDAOfficial@MMRDA_TWEET@CMOMaharashtra@maha_governor@iambadasdanve@DeshmukhSharif@weworkngo@discoveryofmaha@ShamKha65102047

🚨 28+ RELIGIOUS STRUCTURES UNDER 101.36-ACRE CLUSTER PROJECT – WHY NO OFFICIAL CLARITY? 🚨
The 101.36-acre Cluster Redevelopment Project at Gilbert Hill, Juhu Galli and surrounding areas of Andheri West is expected to impact thousands of families and numerous community landmarks. According to local residents, more than 28 religious structures fall within the project boundaries.
Despite the scale and sensitivity of the issue, no detailed public roadmap has been presented by the MLA, MP, Corporator or SRA regarding the status of these structures.
Residents are asking:
🔹 How many religious structures have been officially surveyed?
🔹 Which structures are affected by the redevelopment?
🔹 What is the proposed rehabilitation or relocation plan?
🔹 Have the concerned trusts, committees and local communities been consulted?
🔹 Why has no public presentation or official clarification been issued?
When authorities speak about rehabilitation of houses, they must also provide transparency regarding community and religious structures that form an important part of local heritage and social life.
The people of Gilbert Hill and Juhu Galli deserve facts, not speculation. Public consultation and full disclosure should come before implementation.

Nala Cleaning Scam in L Ward? Questions Raised Over Drain Maintenance. ❓❓❓❓
Huge quantities of waste and debris can be seen stuck inside the nala along LBS Road near HP Petrol Pump, opposite Kalpana Cinema, Kurla West. The condition of the drain raises serious questions about the effectiveness of the pre-monsoon nala cleaning work carried out in the area.
Residents are asking where the accountability lies when drains remain clogged despite public funds being spent on cleaning operations. The accumulation of waste could obstruct the flow of rainwater and increase the risk of waterlogging during heavy rainfall.
A request is being made to L Ward Assistant Municipal Commissioner Mr. Dhanaji Herlekar to personally inspect the site and take appropriate action against the concerned contractor and officers responsible for monitoring the nala cleaning work.

CORRUPT PRACTICES UNDER H-WEST WARD?
More Than 500 Notices Issued, But Where Is the Enforcement?
According to local sources, and based on ongoing efforts to highlight alleged irregularities in the ward administration, serious concerns are being raised regarding the functioning of the Building and Factory Department under H-West Ward. Assistant Engineer SANDEEP SAWANT, who is in charge of Wards 97, 98, and 99, has reportedly issued more than 500 notices against commercial complexes, hotels, illegal constructions, and unauthorized change-of-use violations.
However, residents and local activists allege that in many cases, action appears to stop after the issuance of the first notice. Despite the notices, several establishments and structures alleged to be in violation continue to operate, raising questions about the effectiveness of enforcement and compliance mechanisms.
These allegations have led to concerns about whether follow-up actions, including second notices and demolition proceedings where applicable under law, are being pursued in a timely and transparent manner.
Citizens have called upon H-West Ward Officer Dinesh Pallewad to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into all pending notice cases, review the actions taken by the concerned officials, and ensure accountability wherever lapses or misconduct are found.

🚨 TRANSFER ORDER IGNORED? BY DMCZONE4 BHAGYASHREE KAPSE AND WARD OFFICER CHAKRAPANI ALLE QUESTIONS OVER CONTINUED POSTING OF DO. AE AJAY BHONDVE IN K/W WARD.
CORRUPTION IN K/W WARD? DEMAND FOR HIGH-LEVEL INQUIRY.
Serious questions are being raised regarding the continued posting of DO. AE Ajay Bhondve in the K/W Ward Building & Factory Department despite a BMC transfer order dated 05.06.2026 reportedly transferring him to another department. If the transfer order was issued, why has it allegedly not been implemented till date?
Citizens and activists are also questioning why more than 1,500 notices were reportedly issued under his supervision, yet substantial enforcement action remains absent in many cases. This raises concerns about the effectiveness and transparency of the department's functioning.
If an independent inquiry is conducted into the role of DO. AE Ajay Bhondve, Ward Officer Chakrapani Alle, and DMC Zone-IV Bhagyashree Kapse, the truth behind the non-implementation of transfer orders, pending notices, and alleged irregularities may come before the public.
The Municipal Commissioner should immediately order a detailed investigation and determine who is responsible for allowing a transferred officer to allegedly continue on the same post. If any corruption, favouritism, abuse of authority, or administrative misconduct is found, strict action must follow.
Public confidence can only be restored through transparency, accountability, and a fair inquiry into the functioning of K/W Ward. @mybmcwardkw@cmomaharashtra@mybmc@acb_maharashtra@mieknathshinde@ashwiniBhide@tawderitu @kiritsomiya
🚨 48-Inch Water Pipeline Burst Leaves Residents Without Water 🚨
A major 48-inch (1200 MM) water supply pipeline was reportedly damaged during road and bridge construction work near Tilak Nagar Gate on the 90 Feet Road, Sakinaka, Andheri East. As a result, residents in several areas have allegedly been facing severe water shortages since yesterday, causing inconvenience to thousands of citizens.
💧 No Water Supply Since Yesterday – Citizens Suffer
Residents have complained that water supply has been disrupted since the pipeline was damaged. This raises serious questions about how excavation and drilling activities were permitted near a critical water pipeline. Was the contractor provided with utility maps by the concerned department, and were proper precautions taken before commencing the work?
⚠️ Negligence or Deliberate Act? Inquiry Needed
According to sources, there are allegations that the damage may not have been a mere accident and that a detailed investigation is required. Authorities must examine whether proper procedures were followed and whether any negligence or deliberate action led to the disruption of an essential public service.
⚖️ FIR, Penalty and Accountability Must Follow
Citizens are demanding an FIR against the contractor, site in-charge, and all officials responsible for supervising the project. A thorough inquiry should be conducted, and strict penalties imposed on those found guilty. Public infrastructure cannot be treated carelessly while thousands of residents are left without access to a basic necessity like water.

🚨 Mrinaltai Gore Flyover Expansion: Accountability Cannot Be Ignored 🚨
The completion of the Mrinaltai Gore Flyover expansion project may be projected as an achievement, but serious questions remain unanswered regarding the massive cost escalation and prolonged delay. The project, initially estimated at ₹209 crore in 2018, reportedly saw its cost rise to ₹240 crore in 2023 and finally reach ₹248 crore by completion in 2026. This increase of nearly ₹39 crore raises concerns about project planning, financial management, and administrative oversight.
Citizens have every right to ask why the original estimates proved inaccurate, what caused repeated revisions in project costs, and why the project failed to meet its expected timeline. More importantly, what action has been taken against the concerned BMC officers and government authorities responsible for monitoring and executing the project? If delays and cost overruns occurred due to poor planning, negligence, or lack of supervision, accountability must be fixed.
Public infrastructure projects are funded by taxpayers' money and cannot become endless exercises in extensions, revised budgets, and excuses. The BMC and the Government must publish a detailed report explaining the reasons behind the delay, the additional expenditure incurred, the role of supervising officers, and whether any disciplinary action has been initiated. Transparency, accountability, and responsible governance are essential to ensure that the burden of administrative failures is not ultimately borne by Mumbai's citizens.

Serious allegations have been raised against DO Sachin Belder and AE Sanjay Dudhbhate of L Ward. AE Sanjay Dudhbhate is reportedly in charge of ward areas 156, 157, 158, and 165, where more than 700 notices relating to unauthorized constructions are said to have been issued over a period of time. However, despite such notices, effective enforcement action is alleged to be lacking.
Local sources claim that illegal constructions continue to flourish in these areas. It has further been alleged by certain sources that unauthorized works are being protected through the collection of approximately ₹600 per sq. ft. These are serious allegations that require immediate, independent, and transparent investigation by the competent authorities.
If these allegations are found to be true, strict departmental, vigilance, and anti-corruption proceedings should be initiated against all persons involved. The public deserves answers as to why notices are issued in large numbers while alleged violations continue without effective action.
We demand a detailed inquiry, complete transparency regarding action taken on the notices issued in ward areas 156, 157, 158, and 165, and registration of appropriate corruption cases if evidence of wrongdoing is established.

Worst Condition of Asalpha–Kherani Road Major Nalla Ahead of Monsoon.
The condition of the major storm water drain (nalla) along Asalpha–Kherani Road, near Andheri–Ghatkopar Link Road, is extremely alarming. Large quantities of debris (bedris), encroachments, small structures, utility pipelines, cables, and other obstructions can be seen inside and around the drain. Despite annual allocations for desilting and maintenance of major nallas, the present ground reality raises serious questions about the effectiveness of the work carried out and the utilization of public funds.
Questions on Nalla Maintenance and Public Funds
Residents are asking where the funds allocated every year for desilting, cleaning, and maintenance of major nallas have been spent. If substantial public money has been utilized, why does the drain remain in such a neglected and hazardous condition? The situation warrants an immediate inspection and audit of the desilting and maintenance works undertaken in this area.
Absence of Ward-Level Inspection
It is difficult to understand why Ward Officer Dhanaji Herlekar and other concerned civic officials have not conducted regular site inspections of this critical drainage channel, particularly before the onset of the monsoon season. Such inspections are essential to identify obstructions and prevent flooding in vulnerable localities.
Request for Visit by Senior Authorities
Residents respectfully request Ritu Tawde and Ashwini Bhide to personally visit the Asalpha–Kherani Road nalla and assess the ground situation. Attention should be given not only to high-profile nallas but also to critical drainage channels affecting thousands of local residents.
Health Hazards and Flooding Concerns
The foul smell emanating from the drain is causing severe inconvenience and health concerns for nearby residents. With the monsoon approaching, there is a genuine fear that blocked drainage channels will lead to flooding, waterlogging, property damage, traffic disruptions, and increased risk of water-borne diseases. Immediate remedial action is necessary to protect the lives and safety of citizens.

🚨 H West Ward Building & Factory Department Under Scanner: Allegations of Massive Corruption Nexus
Serious allegations have surfaced against the Building & Factory Department of H West Ward, where a large-scale corruption nexus is reportedly flourishing under the supervision of Ward Officer Dinesh Pallewad.
According to available information, Assistant Engineer Sandeep Sawant, who is responsible for Wards 97, 98 and 99, along with D.O. Naman Karaniya, has issued more than 500 notices against illegal constructions across the ward. However, despite such a large number of notices, substantial enforcement action has allegedly not followed.
It is alleged that in numerous cases, second notices were never issued, while only partial or cosmetic demolitions were carried out at certain sites. Following these limited actions, many unauthorized structures were reportedly reconstructed and completed without any effective intervention from the department. Several illegal constructions continue to exist openly, raising serious concerns about enforcement and accountability.
A detailed assessment of the situation points towards an alleged nexus between officials and violators, enabling unauthorized developments to continue unchecked. In view of the gravity of these allegations, a comprehensive and independent inquiry is being demanded against all concerned officers and staff to ascertain responsibility and ensure transparency in the functioning of the department.

Allegations are being raised regarding the conduct of concerned officials, including Ward Officer Dhanaji Herlekar, DO In-Charge Sachin Belder and AE In-Charge Dudhbhate. Sources claim that despite visible expansion of the structures, no substantial enforcement action has followed. These allegations remain unverified and warrant an independent investigation

• Newly laid sewerage and washroom infrastructure
• Damage to public footpaths and civic property
