Thrilled to share that @uncorkcap led @phinity_ai’s $5.2M seed round!
Phinity is building AI systems to design, verify and eventually tape out chips. In seven years in venture, I’ve never seen a ramp like this: $0 to eight figures in annualized run rate in under three months.
I first met @sonyashijin and @aadi_nash late last year, when Phinity was only a few months old and had no customers or revenue.
Rather than simply layering coding agents onto existing workflows, Phinity is training AI models to design chips themselves.
Since then, they've assembled an incredible team from NVIDIA, Intel, and frontier research labs. Phinity's agents have outperformed experienced hardware engineers on power, performance and area, even when those engineers were using frontier coding agents, and the system produces verified designs an order of magnitude faster.
If you're at a frontier lab or semiconductor company and want to dramatically shorten your chip design process, the Phinity team would love to chat. And if you want to work on one of the hardest technical problems out there, they're hiring!

Me: spends hours dissecting Anthropic's S-1 and sharing my POV on their infra strategy → 15 likes
Also me: spends 10 seconds sharing a Halloween sunset pic → 700 likes
@davidlee It’s the best! Have two in that window right now. And I feel like it was yesterday that Ava paraded around in her costume at Twitter HQ! (@gracelee)
Anthropic's revenue grew 14x while compute spending grew < 4x (!!)
From their S-1: in H1 2026 they spent nearly $9B on compute and infrastructure (~55% of $16.3B in revenue). A year earlier it was $2.3B against $1.2B in revenue.
Ant CFO Krishna Rao talked with @patrick_oshag on @InvestLikeBest earlier this year about how they spent years building an internal infra stack that flexes across NVIDIA GPUs, Google TPUs, and AWS Trainium. Rather than being reliant on one hardware provider, they can switch between architectures and chip generations depending on the workload.
With so many new accelerators coming to market and demand for compute at unprecedented levels, more AI companies want access to heterogeneous compute. Actually securing that capacity and running it efficiently at scale is *extremely* challenging.
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

Couldn't be more excited to be a (small) part of this journey with Warp Sciences! @kevinweil has been a dear friend since we first met at Twitter 16 (!) years ago, and he's been passionate about accelerating scientific progress his entire life.
My mom is a pediatric immunologist who has devoted her career to treating children with rare diseases, so the potential for AI to dramatically expand what's possible in scientific and medical discovery is especially meaningful to me. Much like the enormous cost of chip design limits how many designs we can explore, drug discovery is constrained by how many molecules we can physically make and test.
@warpsciences is bringing together AI, robotics, and world-class scientists to break through that bottleneck. Their team is exceptionally well suited to take on such an ambitious challenge, and we're thrilled to be along for the ride!

💥 Introducing Warp Sciences, a new company applying AI and robotics to help the world develop new medicines faster.
We’ve raised a $215M Series A led by @lightspeedvp to bring frontier AI out of the browser and into the lab, and build scientific capacity here in America.
I co-founded Warp with my long-time friend @dpatil, FAIR co-founder @manohar_paluri, and drug hunter Sol Reisberg. The early team is full of incredible people like @bkspears9, who helped achieve Q>1 fusion at LLNL.
@dens Thank you for building a truly incredible product (and team) that was beloved by so many! Sorry it had to end like this. 🫶
(Oh and thanks also for being an excellent Karaoke collaborator at our Twitter vs Foursquare karaoke battles back in the day!)
