I have held discussions with Dr. Grace Nyonyintono Lubaale, Human Settlements Officer at @UNHABITAT regarding the proposed Greater Busia Metro project. The project seeks to enhance collaboration between the towns of Busia across the Kenya-Uganda border with the aim of improving social services, trade and infrastructure development. We also discussed collaboration on the development of Uganda’s emerging urban settlements.
In a stakeholder meeting with the Kiteezi community, we launched a $1m project named Emergency Technical Assistance to KCCA, Rehabilitating the Kiteezi Landfill.
This 1-year project will decommission at least 7 acres of the Kiteezi landfill.
