The Federal Government cannot blame the TPLF alone while legitimizing the unlawful authorities occupying Western Tigray despite documented grave human rights abuses. That is not accountability. It is political convenience. #WesternTigray
This is lose-lose game.
Wonder to know what Abiy has to offer for the State department to come up with this biased, if not perverse statement.GERD? Want peace in the HoA? Watch Abiy! Ensure accountability for the >600k perished lives mentioned in your statement @statedeptspox https://t.co/jXJVKgUwpp

Obasanjo was the @_AfricanUnion envoy during the #Tigray war. The atrocities, siege,& suffering were not stopped then. With key parts of the #CoHA still unfulfilled, Tigrayans have every reason to question whether more meetings will bring peace, justice,& security.
@SenateForeign
Dear @AUC_PAPS@AfricaUnions@EU_Commission@StateDept@UN_HRC@UN The crushing weight of that reality is impossible to ignore. Calling it "peace" completely masks the ongoing crisis — the fact that massive swaths of Tigrayan territory remain occupied, while hundreds of thousands of people are forced to live indefinitely in camps, displaced from their homes, lands, and livelihoods.
When structural violence, occupation, and a massive humanitarian crisis are baked into the daily reality, it isn't peace. It is just the absence of active, large-scale bombardment, maintained at the devastating expense of millions of lives held in limbo.
@BerhanuAsres
Dear @UKinEthiopia@UKParliament@EU_Commission@StateDept@UN@AfricaUnions The international community should put pressure on the Ethiopian government which is rushing to commit another round of massacres against Tigray in violation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement.
Tigray struggle UK
The international community should put pressure on the Ethiopian government to stop its move to launch another round of genocide against Tigray in violation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement.
"The Tigray Struggle UK" in an open letter to international leaders, the Ethiopian government He is not satisfied with the loss of lives, crimes and displacement committed by the open genocidal war against Tigray. He said the persecution continues openly and openly and is clearly leading to another round of persecution.
The letter said the Ethiopian regime is openly engaged against Tigray, with the drone strikes on civilians in January this year and this week on members of the Tigray army on their regular daily activities as an example of its actions, the Tigray Fight UK said.
There are hundreds of thousands of Ethiopian troops surrounding Tigray on all sides. He said it is a public mystery that everyone is seeing that he is completing preparations to invade Tigray.
Earlier, the Ethiopian government has used economic warfare as a tool of persecution by cutting workers' salaries and suspending banking activities.
Not only did it not implement the main functions of the treaty, such as the repatriation of displaced persons and the restoration of territorial sovereignty; He is also violating the peace by carrying out active military conflicts.
The recent drone strike ; He said the Ethiopian government's continued violations of the agreement, including military siege and drone attacks on civilians, would lead to open warfare.
Therefore, governments and international organizations should immediately stop the second round of persecution against the people of Tigray by the Ethiopian government to prevent the destruction caused by the failure to stop the genocide committed in Tigray. @BerhanuAsres
Obasanjo’s visit to Tigray is pointless. A man with his record cannot speak for humanity or justice. His presence does nothing for the victims — it only serves Abiy Ahmed’s political agenda. Tigray deserves genuine voices for peace, not empty gestures.

News: CPJ condemns expulsion of #French journalist following reporting trip to #Tigray
The Committee to Protect Journalists (#CPJ) has condemned Ethiopia's expulsion of French journalist #Augustine_Passilly following a reporting trip to Tigray, calling on authorities to reverse the decision and allow her to continue reporting in the country.
#Passilly, a correspondent for the French #Catholic_daily #La_Croix, left #Ethiopia on 11 June after authorities revoked her press accreditation and residence permit and issued her an exit visa. The measures followed a reporting trip to #Shire, in Tigray, from 03 to 06 June, where she had traveled to report on residents' concerns over the possibility of renewed conflict in the region.

Ironically Getachew (acting as a TPLF) and Redwan (acting on behalf of Abiy) signed the Pretoria Agreement which Abiy systematically abandoned it. Both served as government communication ministers (heads of propoganda) during the EPRDF. Now they reunited to serve Abiy. Tragically, it seems they are telling us the intention of Abiy’s Tigray War, Season II.
It’s honestly hard to even process this.
Getachew Reda—once a defining voice of the Tigrayan struggle against the genocidal Ethiopian regime—is now effectively inside the same system he once stood in opposition to and framing a dangerous narrative for a new war.
Insanity!
@reda_getachew The Ethiopian govt's actions during& after the war have deepened the crisis in #Tigray. Many do not trust that @AbiyAhmedAli's gov't is committed to fully implementing the #CoHA, viewing it instead as a political tool rather than a path to genuine peace.
@currentanalyst@DrMehari
@_hudsonc@reda_getachew Mr. Hudson there is only one key issue that needs to be resolved now to avoid war between Ethiopia & Tigrai. The key is the occupied historical constitutional land of Tigrai where millions of Tigrai IDPs were forcefully displaced from. Solve that you avoid reigniting the war.
Getachew Reda’s latest op‑ed exposes not only his servility but also his authoritarian nature. He knows this drivel will provoke huge uproar in #Tigray—and he doesn’t mind, as his “Tigray Peace and Change” transitional gov’t aims to rule with an iron fist, not popular consent. 2/
ay 2044 of the #TigrayGenocide:
7M+ #Tigrayans are under a suffocating siege by @AbiyAhmedAli's regime:
❌ Fuel embargo
❌ Commercial blockade
❌ Humanitarian aid cut
❌ IDPs blocked from returning home. People are dying in silence.
The world must act NOW!
