The first paper from my PhD is out @ScienceAdvances! It's a tale of two #PTMs brought together by Deltex E3. Deltex surprisingly binds #NAD and modifies #ubiquitin tail with #ADPribose. This inactivates Ub, but is readily reversed by deubiquitinases. (1/3) https://t.co/NsnYOgAjS1
It has been an honour to host @UniofOxford's @chatrin_ch on her Scotland 🏴 tour's 1st stop in Dundee. We had many activities and reunited @CRUK_SI alumni @IPuoti and Helge. Very exciting work on #ubiquitin ADP-ribose from her PhD & postdoc work. Nice late night walk on the sea cliffs with @KevinHaubrich1

We have located a burst water pipe on Bearsden Road which is impacting customer supplies in the #G3, #G11, #G12, #G13, #G14 and #G15 area of west Glasgow. Our teams are on-site to shut out the burst and begin to restore water supplies. https://t.co/fv747EE0b6
1/13 COVID-19 had a significant impact on our research activity but our researchers adapted brilliantly and work @CRUK_BI continued to thrive. This #WorldCancerDay#WCD2021 , we're highlighting just some of the successes from the past year:
Researchers have created new variants of anticancer CAR T cells that can be quickly switched on and off with a clinically approved drug, allowing precise control over the cells’ activities. Read more in @ScienceTM: ($) https://t.co/Qzv3R3kPqY

#PTMs are like codes that are branded onto a target protein. The codes are read by dedicated "readers", which can change a protein's cellular fate. Ub itself is a protein, so it can be modified by other small PTMs - and we have a brand new code! (2/3)
