Research shows the most peer-trusted healthcare professional voices shaping NSCLC scientific learning online during the last three years of ASCO.
@CREATION's unique HCP Peer Impact metric, an algorithm based on how often other HCPs mention a particular HCP within a specific conversation (in this case, posts about lung cancer during ASCO medical congress), is a powerful way to identify which oncologists or other HCPs are most trusted by their online peers.
You'll notice that the most peer-trusted HCPs are not necessarily the noisiest or most-prolific posters, but they certainly play their part.

...it's been a long time coming but I'm so glad to start releasing my latest conversations with the HCPs and scientists shaping healthcare!
"Editors and publishers cannot fall back upon the convenient theory of irresponsibility as to advertisements [containing medical misinformation]... They are parties in the transaction and share the profits of this deception practised upon the ignorance and credulousness of the masses they profess to educate and protect."
Boston Medical and Surgical Journal, 1866

The @RoySocMed library is a nice spot in Central London to get some work done in between meetings. I could spend days here - today I enjoyed browsing a few ancient medical journals, with articles from more than 150 years ago describing the latest medical science in the 1800s.
One thing that struck me: doctors tackling medical misinformation in popular media is nothing new!
Here's to all the healthcare professionals today who work tirelessly to combat misinformation on social media.
@NEJM Publications such as these were significantly amplified by HCPs at #ESCCongress.
HCPs like @DrPascalMeier and @Drroxmehran who referenced the #AQUATIC@NEJM publication also interpreted the data in real-time, helping peers stay informed of the latest data and recommendations.
We tracked the most-shared journals by HCPs online on day 3 of #ESCCongress.
The #AQUATIC publication in @NEJM drove HCP discussions discouraging the use of aspirin in patients with chronic coronary syndrome who were already receiving oral anticoagulation.
