#CD7 @psyc220 In the future, I would like to be a pediatric occupational therapist. I think it is important especially for young individuals to alleviate any beliefs that there is something wrong with needing a little extra help, not only to them personally but to their peers
@jdvick23 @psyc220 #CD7 I agree with this. It is important in the system to remain unbiased in any way in order to best help the children regardless of the stereotypical beliefs surrounding their situation
@lucypericone @psyc220 #CD7 I agree! I know from personal experience how much harder it can be to seek help if your support group/family does not advocate for mental health
@psyc220 #220Ethics I think this is promoting ethic of autonomy. He’s endorsing other politicians by concluding that they will be fair in providing solutions for issues that effect everyone
Candidates like @StaceyAbrams, @SanfordBishop, @BeeForGeorgia, and @ReverendWarnock care about the issues you care about.
They’ll protect our basic rights, strengthen our democracy, and build an economy that works for everyone – not just those at the top.
@benne4al @psyc220 #CD6 I agree! I feel like because of location this can also be tied into racism against minorities because of how systematic the classing process is
@psyc220 #CD6 One aspect we haven’t discussed is classism. I feel like this intersects with racism through the means of societal oppression. Generational wealth is hard to be passed down if you are not in that position of power. Lower SES are considered minorities
#CD5b @psyc220 This is an example of inspiration porn but i find it to have a more negative connotation. The words “even in” suggest that she shouldn’t be given that same opportunity because of a circumstance she cannot control.
@rachnapatelll @psyc220 I don’t think that’s something that deems respect period. implying that he should get respect just by taking her to prom is wrong
@hargraer @psyc220 #CD5b This is a great example! I feel like this would be highly inspirational to other young individuals with physical disabilities.
@Katevonnii @psyc220 #CD5a I agree. Society makes it seem like they are less of people by exploiting their relationship just because they are two members of the disabled community
