The Stone Inscription of Ezana in #Axum, #Tigray is believed to have been inscribed 1700 years ago. Often compared to the Rosetta Stone, the Ezana Stone is written in Ge'ez, Greek & Sabaean. It documents the conversion of Emperor Ezana to #Christianity & his conquest of various neighboring areas.

Ge’ez, #Africa’s only writing system, is one of the most important contributions of Axum to the world.
