Ok, Edu-Twitter: Tell me more about the lack of research to support learning styles. I need to understand, as this one goes deep into my childhood narrative of learning, my training to be a teacher, and is reinforced through โbest practices.โ I need to understand. Help!

An apparently common #edumyth I learned this week working with teachers was that you should only deliver โmini lessonsโ & the length of the mini lesson is determined by age. If students are 7 - 7 minute lesson followed by self-directed learning. Where do these ideas come from?
