A homeless person, or homeless people made this bus accessible and livable by kicking out the emergency window that wound up in the middle of the road
This is happening in a "public realm" where tower overdevelopment abundance housing has been built and it's more evident than ever that this has not brought down rents or stopped the homeless crisis and population living on the streets
In fact it exacerbated both crises.

On the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks of the Twin Towers, I remember what it was like a month earlier from the view from the Washington Square Arch.
A picture can say a thousand words so here's some of them.
Taking that photo with a cheap Canon 35 mm, I never thought terrorists would weaponize planes to kill thousands and put NYC under siege and make our government more paranoid. For a moment in August, it just a nice shot to take while working in the city on my bike
You can see the Freedom Tower clearer. But the park and the view changed. The trees got bigger, the fountain got moved and there were no ebikes back then
This is the only picture I possess and will take to my grave. Because that moment was a time when things were ok and in this era they are more harder to find.

@nycmayor @newyorkstateAG Cease and desist order against illegal ebikes sales in New York City is already a failure. Evidenced by two "happyrun" double battery ebikes similar to deeppower ebike that a 17-year-old got killed while entering Manhattan racing off the Brooklyn Bridge
Where did these ebikes come from? Not where Mamdani's weak lawyer Stephen Banks and those shilling ebike promoters @NYC_DOT thinks. I'm guessing Facebook marketplace or from app message platforms like signal and snapchat where it's easy to delete messages forever.
As long as consumer demand for the fastest ebikes remains high, the city and the lobbyists who helped bring these illegal ebikes here can't stop them.

How the @Transalt "die-in" protest really went down and how the news media ignored it.
While looking around for people to interview, @openplans lobbyist Jackson Chabot arrives on a 20 mph capable e-bike.
Then the bike bro from @nyctimesup appears and verbally attacks me and resumes the same insults he said to me at the critical mass bike ride for lawless cycling last summer.
He says he came "just for me" and has me "dead to rights". Which proves that he didn't come to this die-in to eulogize 3 e-bike drivers killed by hit and run drivers, he came to target, bully and stalk me while I was trying to interview the people who organized this "wake"
I went right to @bfurnas and asked how he condones this cyclist sociopath's conduct for a vigil for 3 people killed by cars and trucks. He said nothing, smirked at me and patted his vulgar and tweeking ally on the back.
@nyc_safestreets says nothing either when I asked two of their members how this repulsive person is representing them at their vigil.
I ask @nycpa David Kahn how can he condone this bike bully's behavior and he would not look me in the eye once. Which makes sense because he helped Ben Furnas's lobby produce this farcical die-in being a tax payer funded organizer himself

Live at City Hall Park for @Transalt "die-in" in memoriam for three ebike drivers who got killed by hit-and run drivers in three days.
At least that's how they advertised this event.
I see @alexa_sledge, transalt's spokeswoman who has been all over ocal corporate news shows and news sites about these deaths and other related tragedies to push for more bike infrastructure.
While she expressed utter contempt at me even though im a commuter and worker cyclist her lobby advocates for, I informed her that the intersection Paulina Tec Choc got killed on had no cameras (except a flock half way down the block) and @nyc_dot westward and northward traffic lights were not in sync, which would cause confusion to car and ebike drivers. I also told her how there is no room for bike lane infrastructure because the curb lane is used for turning right only.
That got her to listen.
I also asked Allie what she really thinks about 2 way bike lanes and she said "it depends man". I also ask her why wasn't there a performance die-in for Priscilla Loke since she got killed on a two way bike lane by a @citibikeNYC Ebike driver
I got no answer from her media underlings either

5 months after a man got killed hitting a pothole here on Liberty Ave in Ozone Park and @NYC_DOT fixed it after his corpse was removed from the road, dozens of more potholes have formed even after @NYCMayor 4 week pothole blitz back in March and the DOT never came back.
I mentioned many times in my posts that the only way this avenue and any other roads get fixed is when the DOT wants to put bike lanes on them. This seems to have inspired Mayor Mamdani to get his team of lawyers to write a new charter ballot proposal to give the DOT totalitarian power to induce bike lanes and other street redesigns without consultation from other agencies like @nycwater @FDNY @NYPDNews nor community input from New Yorkers who pay taxes to keep the roads maintained and safe to walk, drive and ride on as long as their plans are based on the rubric of "safety improvements" for the streets
This also means that the lobbies that regulatory captured the DOT, namely @Transalt @Openplans @Ridersalliance will have even more power in their roles as @nycgov "partners" to order them what streets should be and how they should be redesigned based on the dubious law for the current "streets master plan". This will basically make them a caliphate for the DOT to take orders from like they have been doing since Mamdani got the keys to city hall. So the only way Liberty Ave will get fixed is in 2027 if people vote yes on charter prop 3
It's warped how Mayor Mamdani is weaponizing democracy to kill democracy in this idiocracy move to take the streets away from people and hand them to an agency who already acts like an autocracy to force bike and bus lanes and they can't and won't even fix the streets that are crumbling under our feet and wheels. And also to a caliphate of lobbies that have contempt for people who drive cars and against their warped fascist agenda to turn streets into provinces with ebike freeways and barricaded streets
The streets is all the people have left and if they fall apart and we lose them to totalitarian ideologues who want to oppress their choice of commute and freedom of movement, New York City will die.
Vote no on prop 3. This is the year we take back the streets from the urbanist lobby caliphate and their interns Mayor Mamdani and Commissioner Flynn.
