@R_H_Ebright@MundlerStudents@gglinskii@CellTrackTech It will be interesting to see the distribution of migration routes when the data is compiled at the end of the season...linkable to wind data? My guess would have been that some flying down the eastern seaboard (like RHE_Alpha) might go Florida, Cuba, Yucutan. Before oil rigs?
@R_H_Ebright@CellTrackTech Thanks! That's efficient traveling. That's not far off some of my own road trip travel distances, times and speeds on secondary highways. My travels seem lot less like leaps of faith as finding a convenient gas station seems more likely than a drilling platform.
@CellTrackTech@R_H_Ebright Thanks! I thought that information would be captured. The migration is fascinating. Your technology, together with the efforts of those radio tagging the monarchs, is much appreciated.
@R_H_Ebright@NIH Lol...at least one of these a month. One would think that in an organization with 20,000 employees, there would be one who would be capably tasked with ensuring the fidelity of the graphics.
@R_H_Ebright@Globalbiosec Appreciate you pointing these out. It seems like you catch about one per month. It seemingly escapes many authors, reviewers, graphics editors and fact checkers. Has me wondering about the error rate on DNA handedness in various media? In online stock graphics? 50%?
@coldstreams@charliebilello Agree the demographics of baby boomers still in housing market as a large baby boom echo cohort enters market has been a factor. I also wonder about impact on housing purchases of wealth transfers from covid elderly deceased to their younger heirs.
@wesyang@jk_rowling Suppose, in an application for a job or award that favored Native Americans, I claimed/identified as being one, but a DNA test would prove my claim invalid, would you call me a cheating white man? Or would you call it weaponised anti-identity sentiment?
@angoffinet It does look like they are fighting a rear guard action, with new conscripts and volunteers offering themselves up to do some sniping, while others distance themselves with the hope that their prospects for future grants can be salvaged.
@ban_epp_gofroc@StavaRune@dkupiecki@sigridbratlie Maybe Mr. Stava could share the names of the members of the secretive cowardly cabal that conspired to use Andersen to personally attack Sigrid with the aim of discrediting her. Were they motivated by knowledge that she was writing a book?
@R_H_Ebright@dandiealexander Props to the NIH Director for speaking about the covid origins elephant in the room and reminding NIH staff of their responsibility to guard against the potential risks to mankind in their own work and in the research that NIH funds.
@R_H_Ebright@pricklyresearch Prominent science journals taking partisan political positions ahead of and in the aftermath of the election helped paint a bullseye on the research grants target. The NIH cuts appear in part to be signaling that science needs to be less politicized and more accountable.
@Ayjchan Viral provides the basics of the storyline and backstory. Just waiting for the conclusion to be revealed I imagine that more than a few screen writers have it all laid out.
