China cannot spend on AI like America can & it shows up in this chart.
Aside from public infrastructure, it has to invest in many sectors: clean energy, embodied AI, EVs, hydrogen, industrial supply chain & aerospace
In order to build a tech sovereign economy, it has to achieve leading position on every advanced industry, so its progress cannot be stopped by Western sanctions.
All this investment takes money.
I often see comments online complaining that US is too dependent on China. Well, if you do not want that to happen, then you need to take money from AI build out & military industrial complex & put that in sectors where China now dominates.
All this requires not just money, but talent, govt policy, energy, water, land & other resource.
Since Chinese planners can't put itself in a position of being overly dependent in any sector, then it has to invest in everything & that means AI sector needs to be a lot more efficient in resource utilization than its US counterparts.
Even if China had unlimited access to Nvidia GPUs, DeepSeek could never spend as much on them as Anthropic, bc it would never have the funding to do so. And if it did, then it would deprive other sectors of investment.
Our internal data shows Claude is accelerating AI development—a possible path to recursive self-improvement, or AI autonomously building a more capable successor.
It’s happening faster than we thought, and the implications deserve greater attention. https://t.co/OVVPJO7VQx
Excited to share our most powerful new Claude Code feature: dynamic workflows!
Mention "workflow" in a prompt and Claude will dynamically create an orchestration plan that it strictly follows, allowing you to confidently trust that every stage happens in the right order even across 100s of agents.
ANTHROPIC 🔥: CLAUDE OPUS 4.8 IS ROLLING OUT TO ALL USERS.

The Alsama Project runs education centres for refugee teenagers in Beirut’s camps. Renewed conflict has forced the centres to close, but classes continue via Zoom & WhatsApp so 950 students don’t lose their education. They urgently need SIM cards & Wi-Fi: https://t.co/4nmwSNZjoq
We've been working for nearly a year to launch this new Community site and review system. I'm very excited about this first version but there are many more improvements to come.
I've tried to be exhaustive with the blog post, FAQs, and next steps on our roadmap, but I am sure I forgot some things, so feel free to ask!
This has been an incredibly challenging project for a number of reasons. We're only seven people but we have thousands of plugin developers and millions of users. There are many competing priorities to balance.
We wanted to make sure the new system would be easy to adopt, backwards compatible, and not completely break people's workflows, while still being a major improvement over the old approach, and allow us to gradually continue enhancing security and discoverability of plugins.
Consider it a work in progress. We're listening to everyone's ideas and gripes, and will keep iterating :)
Claude Code just got an update nobody is talking about. And it replaced my entire video crew.
You type one simple sentence.
Claude writes the script.
It uses ElevenLabs to clone your voice.
It calls Remotion to build the scenes.
It grabs HeyGen to make your avatar talk.
Ten minutes later, you have a finished video.
You never even turn on a camera.
This changes how we make content forever.
This is the most complete setup I've seen yet to turn Claude Code into your personal OS.
Here's my new episode with @moritzkremb where he shared the system that runs his email, content, and even grocery shopping.
We talked about:
→ The 4 layers: folders, tools, skills, routines
→ Memory: Set up a nightly "dreaming" job
→ Tools: The best CLIs and MCPs to use
→ Skills: Video edits, planning, and more
→ Routines: When to use local vs. remote

🇨🇳🇫🇷 A French guy left laptops in public spots around the world to see how fast they'd get stolen.
Paris: 8 seconds, India: 12 seconds, New York: 25 seconds, China: never touched.
He was speechless. So are we.

When an LLM acts happy (“EUREKA!”) or sad (“I have failed…”), is that meaningless mimicry, or does it reflect something “real”?
We don’t know if LLMs are conscious. But they increasingly seem to exhibit wellbeing, pain, and pleasure as they get smarter
Paper 🧵:
I am building Obsidian Reader because I wonder how the web would feel if it was designed solely around the reading experience.
There is so much cognitive burden that comes with every site having different layouts, fonts, ads, popups, cookie banners, engagement traps, etc.
