[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

We had a great time at ScaleUp: AI yesterday. From our panel on the future dev stack: How is AI reshaping the way software gets built, tested, and shipped? AI-native tooling, autonomous agents, and what it means to build for engineering teams now.

💬 "Expertise became cheap and experience became expensive.”

Featuring: @krishnagade (@Fiddler_AI), Abhinav Asthana (@a85) (@getpostman). Moderated by @insightpartners MD @PraveenAkkiraju

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

Closing out #ScaleUpAI: how do enterprises move from prompt engineering to models that grow more valuable every year?

💬 “What compounds is your context, it’s your evaluations, it’s the set of things that over time evolve only for you, that are uniquely yours.” — Daniel Shimoni, Modus

Featuring: Daniel Shimoni (modus), Jackson Stokes (@jackson_stokes) (@TrainLoop_AI), Michael D'Angelo (@OpenAI). Moderated by @insightpartners MD @GaneshBell

That's a wrap on ScaleUp: AI for this year! Thank you to all for coming!

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

The security panel is live at #ScaleUpAI — featuring Gregor Stewart, Chief AI Officer at @SentinelOne, Eric Fourier, Cofounder and CEO at @GitGuardian, Ron Dovich, Chief AI Officer at @brinqa, Mark Bower, Chief Strategy Officer at @AnjunaSecurity, and Vyas Sekar, Professor at @CarnegieMellon

💬 "Assume breach, consider your environment compromised, detect an attack, and react really fast.” — Eric Fourier

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

The most consequential AI decisions right now aren't about technology — they're about how to organize around it. Who owns what, which roles change, how you scale without scaling headcount. #ScaleUpAI. 👇

💬 “If you're not uncomfortable, your company's not moving fast enough.” — Alex Atzberger, @Optimizely

💬 “Automate everything to replace the drudgery” — François Ajenstat (@Ajenstat), @datarockstar (Golden Analytics)

💬 “AI has to be led from the top.” — Mario Ciabarra, @quantummetric

Panel moderated by Chitra Nawbatt (@chitranawbatt)

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

Sarah Yager is the first human rights and responsible deployment lead at @OpenAI. At #ScaleUpAI on what accountability looks like as AI moves from research into production at scale — and what happens when the stakes are real. Moderated by @InsightPartners MD Hilary Gosher (@hilbil175)

💬 “When I see AI companies talking about what is good, what is moral, what does humanity mean?... We as societies have already figured out a lot of those things, and it's called universal human rights. … I do not want an AI company telling me what is good. I want my rights protected.”

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

Ron Gabrisko helped scale @Databricks from under $1M to a $6.9B run rate. At #ScaleUpAI, he shared the hypergrowth playbook — and how enterprises can get a handle on AI sprawl. 💬 “The first thing is using the right models for the right task.”

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

Enterprise AI investment is at an all-time high — and so is the gap between “we’re doing AI” and AI that actually runs in production. At #ScaleUpAI: the operators and platforms closing that gap.

💬 “A proof of concept should not be a science experiment to prove something that seems cool.” — Assaf Resnick, CEO, BigPanda

Featuring: @raphaelouzan (@ateam_hq), @srikrishnang (@RocketlaneHQ), and Assaf Resnick (@bigpanda)

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

Every enterprise has access to the same frontier models. The differentiation is what you give them to work with. At #ScaleUpAI: why the context and data layer is where enterprise AI compounds and where most deployments fall flat. 💬 “Context is data plus. It fundamentally requires a lot broader things than just one dataset. It’s not enough.” — @tasso, VP Engineering @databricks

[Rob Bailey @RMB]

Context is the moat! Announced on stage that Sweep was just acquired by @ServiceNow! Another great summit by @insightpartners. @gkm1

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

What could America’s AI advantage make possible for national security? At #ScaleUpAI, Gen. (ret.) Tim Haugh joined @insightpartners MD @NickSinai to discuss the opportunity to apply compute at national scale—including to cybersecurity.

💬 “We dwarf the rest of the world in compute availability. And if we start to think about that as a national advantage, what are the possibilities of what we can do to leverage that?”
— Gen. (ret.) Tim Haugh, former Director, NSA & U.S. Cyber Command

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

Ryan New runs technology for some of the world's most critical financial markets. In conversation with @iCapital’s @sonalibasak, New discusses what deploying AI looks like when downtime isn't an option and what the markets of tomorrow could look like. 💬 "The bad guys don't have governance rules to follow."
— Ryan New, CIO, ICE and @NYSE.

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

@SnorkelAI's Co-founder and CEO @ajratner on why specialized AI models can outperform on well-defined tasks—and why the future isn’t generalist or specialist. #ScaleUpAI 💬 “Last mile fine tuning is about specifying what does good look like. If you could specify a very well defined task you can tune a model that will outperform on accuracy and on cost. This is really not about better or worse, it’s really about generalist versus specialized.”

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

@InsightPartners MD Lonne Jaffe (@lonnej) on what's changed in the AI investment landscape this past year — where the most consequential innovation is happening, and where capital is flowing. #ScaleUpAI💬 "What we really care about as an investor… is the durability of the business, not just the historical growth.”

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

And Sebastian revealed that his next book will be about Anthropic's Dario Amodei.

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

Sebastian Mallaby's book The Infinity Machine argues the choices AI builders make today will define the next century. He's opening #ScaleUpAI in conversation with @InsightPartners MD Deven Parekh (@djparekh).

💬 "Power law itself is here in a bigger way than it used to be. In the whole of the tech sector, OpenAI and Anthropic have recently created probably 80% of the wealth. That has changed who the check writers are. You now have got sovereign wealth funds, growth equity players are writing checks now. Power law is still intact. Who writes the checks is different.”

— Sebastian Mallaby (@scmallaby), author, The Infinity Machine & Senior Fellow, @CFR_org

It’s ScaleUp: AI day! Grab your badge, grab a coffee and get ready to discuss all things AI! #ScaleUpAI

[ScaleUp:AI @scaleupevent]

AI is rewriting both the attack surface and the defense playbook.

Eric Fourrier (@GitGuardian), Ron Dovich (@brinqa), @vyas_sekar (@CarnegieMellon), and Mark Bower (@anjuna_security) cut through the noise on what's real, what's hype, and what to do about it — moderated by Gregor Stewart (@SentinelOne).

The most consequential AI decisions are about how to organize around models. Who owns what, which roles disappear, and how do you scale without scaling headcount?

Franciois Ajenstat (@Ajenstat) (@datarockstar), Alexander Atzberger (@Optimizely), and @mariociabarra (@quantummetric) share what's actually changed. Moderated by @chitranawbatt. Are you signed up? https://t.co/x07F1Njw0R
