The socio-political context of Nagaland is entirely distinct from that of Ukhrul and Somdal, where the NSCN-IM operates without restriction on speech and conduct.

The Tangkhul community is not included in the list of Indigenous Tribes of Nagaland. Under the existing laws of the state, members of Tangkhul community are not permitted to own land and therefore reside as tenants. In keeping with this, it is expected that a tenant respects the owner of the land.

A large number of people in Nagaland and around the world have found the recent remarks made against Dr. S.C. Jamir — a widely known and highly respected figure in Nagaland and internationally — by Mr. V.S. Atem and Mr. R.H. Raising, two leaders of the NSCN-IM from the Tangkhul community, to be inappropriate and unacceptable.

The matter now rests with them to issue an apology and retract their statements within 15 days.

If the same terms—“edited,” “cut,” “exported,” or “manipulated”—are used again, please provide a detailed explanation:

• What exactly was altered?
• Which portions were cut or edited?
• Does editing change the identity of the speaker?
• Why has the voice still not been conclusively identified?

The people deserve clarity, not another vague technical label.

Mr.#VS_Atem, Thuingaleng deputy should well remember that SC Jamir, Former CM of Nagaland and former Governor of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Odisha is the only surviving Naga who signed the the 16-point Aggreement of 1960, which paved the way for Nagaland becoming a state of India. If he's not mandated to represent Naga voice, who else is?

SC Jamir was also associated with the Naga People’s Convention (NPC) and participated in the negotiations that led to the 16-Point Agreement of 1960, way before Muivah was in the political picture of Naga People's movement.

Ms. Neiesther, the sole survivor of NSCN-IM's ambush yesterday survived only by a miracle but her body is torn apart & riddled with bullets.

The Instagram post exposing Kacha Naga vigilantes threatening two traders at an illegal checkpoint in Kanglatongbi has been geo-blocked in India under Section 79(3)(b) of the IT Act.
The authorities found the post within a day.
Yet they still haven’t found the men heard saying:
"Who should we kill, if not people like you?"

No arrests. No FIR.The illegal checkpoint remains.Kangpokpi continues to be cut off from essential supplies,including food and medicine.
Silencing evidence is not the same as delivering justice.If the law can act swiftly to restrict a post, it should act just as swiftly against those who openly issue death threats and unlawfully obstruct public roads.

When Th.Muivah's NSCN-IM massacred over 600 Khiamniungan Nagas, among them 182 innocent children.

■Th. Muivah dispatched a contingent of NSCN-IM in 1980 under the command of SS Lt. Col. Ningwon Tangkhul & Capt. Shangam Tangkhul to annihilate the Khiamniungan Nagas.
Over a brutal 215-day siege, the NSCN-IM Terrorists massacred overed 600 Khiamniungan Nagas, 500 civilians, including 182 innocent children were deliberately starved to death.

■The sheer brutality of the NSCN-IM horrified even the most reviled Burmese military Junta, a regime synonymous with Human Rights abuses & brutality.
The Khiamniungan massacre is a grim reminder & irrefutable evidence of the profound evil that the NSCN-IM, under Th.Muivah represented then & continues to embody today.

In a pre-dawn attack by NSCN-IM, NSCN-Eastern Flank, and Shanni Nationalities Army (Junta), Letminlun Haokip, 34, and Lunminthang Haokip, 36, were killed mercilessly .
Letminlun served as Head Deacon and Secretary of KBC Circle 17. Lunminthang was the Youth Chairman and Youth Secretary .

Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has condemned the killing of two church workers in Kultuh village of Manipur's Kamjong district and called for an independent judicial inquiry into the incident.

The organisation identified the victims as Letminlun Haokip, General Secretary of KBC Circle No. 17 and Head Deacon of Kultuh Local Church, and Lunminthang Haokip, General Secretary of the Youth Department of KBC Circle No. 17 and Youth Chairman of Kultuh Local Church.

In a statement, KIM alleged that the attack occurred during a pre-dawn raid on the village by armed assailants. The organisation further claimed that the attackers were linked to Myanmar-based armed groups and called for a thorough investigation into the allegations. These claims have not been independently verified.

KIM urged the Centre and the Manipur government to launch an impartial judicial inquiry, identify and arrest those responsible, and strengthen security measures along the Indo-Myanmar border. The organisation also sought enhanced deployment of security forces, improved border surveillance, compensation for the victims' families and assistance for rebuilding damaged properties.

The body said a comprehensive investigation is necessary to establish the facts surrounding the incident and ensure accountability.

- ⁠The attackers burnt down several houses forcing the villagers, including women and children to flee into the jungle.

APPEAL FOR THE SAFE RELEASE OF MISSING KUKI CIVILIANS

The Kuki community makes an emotional and urgent appeal for the immediate and safe release of the innocent Kuki civilians who are reportedly being held captive. These individuals are fathers, sons, brothers, students, and hardworking members of their families and communities.

Their families are living in unbearable pain and uncertainty. Every day without news of their loved ones brings fear, sorrow, and suffering. Mothers are crying for their children, wives are waiting for their husbands, and children are longing to see their fathers return home safely. Many families have lost their peace, their happiness, and even their appetite as they struggle with the agony of not knowing where their loved ones are or what condition they are in.
