Illegal commercial structures and multi-storey buildings are reportedly coming up openly in Ward No. 158. If this is happening under the supervision of AE Sanjay Dudhbhate, the Municipal Corporation must explain how such large-scale violations escaped action.

There are allegations that permissions are being granted through corrupt practices and that contractors have been assured no action will be taken. These allegations require an immediate vigilance and departmental inquiry. The investigation should examine the role of every concerned official, verify whether there has been any abuse of office, and scrutinize assets if there is credible evidence of disproportionate wealth.

The public deserves accountability—not silence. 🚨 INCOMPLETE DEMOLITION OR DELIBERATE PROTECTION? BY AE SANJAY DUDHBHATE . SERIOUS QUESTIONS OVER ACTION AT NEWLY UPCOMING STUDIO WORK AT MOHILI VILLAGE KHAIRANI ROAD.

In May 2026, demolition action was reportedly carried out at Gala No. 03, M.N. D'Souza Compound, Near Manav Vikas Samiti, Mohili Village, Khairani Road, Sakinaka, Mumbai–400072. However, the action appears to have been limited and raises serious questions.

It is alleged that five illegal galas were merged into one large structure for use as a shooting studio. The occupant is also alleged to have encroached upon the adjoining open spaces and rear setback, while a massive structure of approximately 10,000 sq. ft. on the ground floor and 12,000 sq. ft. on the upper floor, with a height of nearly 30 feet, continues to stand.

The demolition reportedly carried out by AE Sanjay Dudhbhate on 28 May 2026 was allegedly restricted to breaking front-side windows and removing a portion of the front cement-sheet roof. The main steel girders, channels, and structural members of the upper floor were allegedly left untouched, while the rear portion of the structure was not demolished. This raises an important question—if the construction was unauthorized, why was only a symbolic demolition carried out instead of taking effective action?

It is further alleged that after the incomplete demolition, additional illegal works continued, including the construction of more than five toilets and new unauthorized sewerage connections. There are also allegations that encroachment into open spaces resulted in damage to peepal trees and existing sewerage infrastructure.

A thorough departmental and vigilance inquiry should be conducted into the role of AE Sanjay Dudhbhate and the adequacy of the demolition carried out. The newly appointed DO Jagtapkar should personally inspect the site, verify the original sanctioned boundaries, measure the encroached area, examine the alleged damage to public property and trees, and ensure that appropriate action is taken. SAME COMPOUND, SAME LAND — WHY IS ACTION SELECTIVE?

Former MLC Manisha Kayande ji has rightly raised the issue of Tabela No. 7 at Bori Compound, Ram Mandir, Goregaon West. We respectfully request her to also take up another serious matter from the very same compound. If one alleged encroachment deserves attention, then every alleged illegal construction on public land should be examined with equal seriousness.

It is alleged that nearly 20,000 sq. ft. of MMRDA land has been encroached upon by the Jilani Group. It is further alleged that a newly constructed banquet hall of over 30,000 sq. ft. has been built on MMRDA land without the required permissions. If these allegations are correct, they represent a major loss of public land and call for an immediate investigation.

❓QUESTIONS OVER MMRDA'S ENCROACHMENT SUPERVISION

The alleged violations fall within the jurisdiction of MMRDA's encroachment wing under the supervision of Deputy Collector Sunil Shinde. The public deserves answers. Were these alleged constructions inspected? Were notices issued? If so, what action followed? If not, why were such large alleged encroachments allowed to continue?

📢 PUBLIC LAND MUST BE PROTECTED, NOT IGNORED

We urge Manisha Kayande ji, MMRDA, and the Maharashtra Government to conduct an independent inspection of the entire Bori Compound and take action against any encroachment or unauthorized construction found, irrespective of the individuals or groups involved.
