Rwanda has urged the world to turn commitments under the Kigali Amendment into tangible climate action, as the agreement marks 10 years since its adoption in Kigali. Opening MOP38, Prime Minister Dr Justin Nsengiyumva challenged countries to move beyond promises, fully implement their commitments and invest in sustainable cooling technologies. He recalled President Kagame’s 2016 call not to settle for limited progress when lasting solutions are possible, stressing that the next decade must deliver measurable results for the planet and future generations
