Since 2023, the #BITSPilani administration and management have been systematically targeting 110+ community dogs living peacefully on campus.

An FIR was filed against VC Prof. @ramgopal_rao and others for the torture and murder of a 40-day-old puppy:

• 4–7 fractures over 20 days
• Found locked in a hostel bathroom, reeking of urine

@bitspilaniindia responded by banning the complainants and welfare workers from campus, not the abusers.

⚠️ 2025: Escalation Despite Supreme Court & UGC Orders

@bitspilaniindia continues to violate multiple laws and guidelines:

1. Illegal dog confinement in jail-like cages

2. Hate campaign against dogs by deans and staff

3. Cruelty and killings reported on campus

1. Dismantle illegal confinement zones

2. Release all confined dogs. Many are starving

3. Partner with NGOs for sterilization & vaccination

6. Enforce zero tolerance for hitting, killing, or relocating dogs

7. Maintain a register of all community dogs

🔴 On the sacred day of Ganesh Visarjan, while the city was celebrating, a horrifying act of cruelty took place in Chandkheda.

🔸 A stray dog was tied with a rope for 25 minutes.

🐾 "कुत्ता 25 मिनट तक बांधा गया, डंडों से पीटा गया, फाँसी दी गई और आखिर में जिंदा जला दिया गया।"

🔸 7–8 men brutally tortured the dog.

🆘 7-8 गुजराती राक्षसों ने मिलकर इस अमानवीय हत्या को अंजाम दिया।

🔸 Beaten mercilessly with sticks – the dog did not die.

🆘"गवाह डर के कारण सामने नहीं आ रहे – यह और भी खतरनाक स्थिति है।"

🔸 They then put a rope around his neck, attempting to strangle him – still the dog survived.
