One of the issues with naloxone or any other medication-based intervention targeting opioids (agonist, antagonist, partial, competitive, reversal, etc) is that they often operate in a vacuum. People are still dying. #notjustopioids #suicide #polypharm #polydrug

@davidthekick Many prescribers weigh risks/benefits of #polypharm and decide the benefits outweigh risks. Some prescribers do not look closely at the interactions nor take into account subtle daily changes in sleep, food, hydration, illnesses. Sometimes 2nd or 3rd opinions can help.
We must always mount heroic efforts to prevent deaths from #suicide #polypharm #alcohol #opioids, but if people still die, must we constantly blame ourselves, others, systems, policies, culture? Accountability, yes. Blame/vitriol, no. Acceptance,yes. Persistence,yes. #perspective
